Tune-Up

You’ve seen the commercials on TV or webpage advertisements about speeding up your PC and making it run like it did when it was brand new.  Well, unless you have hundreds of megabytes of temporary files and unneeded system update installation files, you probably won’t notice any increase in hard-drive read/write speeds after the deletion of such files.

If you have a fairly recent computer, your CPU will already be able to handle normal application processing.  If you have an older computer, your hardware is limited in its processing capabilities, and may actually seem to have “slowed down” in processing your open programs.  That is not due to hardware malfunction or age.  Electrons travel at a constant rate of speed on a given medium, all the time – at the same super-fast rate of speed – now, five, or even ten years removed from when your computer was brand new.  If your computer seems slower, it is because you are asking it to do more processing now with newer, more-sophisticated, and more-powerful programs, which it was not designed to handle when it was new.  There are possible solutions to this phenomenon, but none guaranteed.  An upgrade for the BIOS for one’s particular computer; an increase in physical memory; and an update to component drivers could all increase the overall processing speed of the computer.

So, beware of the computer companies who promise greater speeds, when they allege to clean up your computer. They may clean up your computer, but you probably know what has been done, and you most likely will NOT see faster processing. Or they may clean out your computer and your wallet. My cost is reasonable, and I will describe to you in detail the solutions I have made.
